The Garden Dress was created as an extension of my original Picnic Top. The shape is interpreted in a very soft linen with a bit of viscose for some soft drape. It borrows the Picnic's dainty bow neckline and has added drawstring pockets with bows. What could go better together, than a Picnic and a Garden? Designed to have ease and freedom of movement, (for gardening) but also to feel elegant to wear it out on a warm end-of-summer's evening.
The fit is a flared, A-line shape, drifting away from the body at the waist and free at the hips. The hem is curved slightly and the neckline hugs you around the shoulders with a small bow that can be worn tied or untied. In shades of white, made by patchworking white remnants together with french seams. In this colorway the exact pattern placement of the patchwork may vary slightly from piece to piece.
Fibre Content: Linen/Viscose Blend, Recycled Cotton Binding. Deadstock refers to fabric that is a leftover from a larger brand's production, or that textile mills have been unable to sell. Often times a deadstock fabric is available in only a few metres due to its recycled nature.
